(And, I can get away with this, just because I love Haldir so much...it had to be done, better it be done in jest than by someone who is taking enjoyment via the lies Peter Jackson came up with...)
10. When rumors start making their way through the Golden Woods that someone is
needed to captain an army headed for Helm's Deep, instead of asking for the
bravest and most loyal elf to step forward, Galadriel asks, "Where is that
arrogant boarder guard who exchanged insults with that cute little Dwarf?"
9. Elrond gives a long speech about how brave the elves going to the aid of
Rohan are, how valuable their contribution is, and that there will be a great
party thrown upon their return. He then mumbles almost inaudibly, "At
least, that's what Gil-Galad and I told everybody about the last
alliance..."
8. When Haldir approaches Elrond to ask if the elf lord will be joining the
elven army, Arwen whispers to him, "As if! Ada has the gift of
foresight, you know."
7. When he tells Glorfindel of his departure, he is told to say hello to
Ecthelion for him. When Haldir reminds him that Ecthelion was killed and
resides in Mandos, Glorfindel laughs uneasily and pats him on the shoulder.
6. When he heads back through Lothlorien with the host from Imladris, he hears
Orophin being referred to as 'Captain of the Galadhrim' by more than one warden.
Each time he shrugs his shoulders at Haldir innocently and says, "Honestly,
I don't understand what they're talking about."
5. Celeborn makes mention of 'severence pay', but is quickly silenced by a kick
in the shin by Galadriel.
4. When Haldir brings up the fact that the army has only been given enough
lembas for the trip to Rohan and not for their return march, he is assured by
Galadriel that there is plenty for the entire journey.
3. Rumil assures his brother that he has been given a nice new RED cape by
Galadriel because red truly is Haldir's color, and that he doesn't have a helmet
because that would mess up his lovely hair. Rumil then runs behind a tree
and cries.
2. Before he leaves Lothlorien, Haldir makes one final request of Galadriel, who
answers, "You want to what? Look in the mirror? Which mirror, this
mirror? Oh, no, no, that's not possible. It has a leak, it's out of
order at the moment. Well, off you go to Helm's Deep, then..."
And the number one reason Haldir had a bad feeling about Helm's Deep...
1. Upon arriving at Helm's Deep...Aragorn hugs him!
