Of Blue Slime and a Frog
by Caethieu

Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Elrond/Gil-galad
Summary: Response to a challenge.

Notes: This is the result of a challenge that Java Green posted on the Elrond_Gil-galad Lovers yahoo group. The challenge was as follows:
- A 169 (meaning it is to have 169 words, not including the title)
- Must include: the phrase "remove that __ from my __" , the colour blue, a fight, a frog
- Bonus for any inclusion of a spatula (pretty much all my challenges involve a spatula, it's tradition)
This is my first attempt at a challenge (or, for that matter, a piece under 500 words), but here you go!

Set in Lindon, say, between S.A. 300 and 400.

One sunny afternoon, Elrond consented to a diversion from his usual duties. His stipulation was that he would use the outing to sample some plants for medicinal qualities. He bent now to the task: pinching leaves into a dish, adding water, and beating it into a bright blue pulp with a spatula.

Gil-galad, envious of Elrond's focus on the plants, spotted a frog as he lay on the bank of a stream, watching the current. He grabbed it, and, eyes alight, carefully set it under Elrond's robe. Silently, he resumed his previous position.

Elrond bolted with a cry, spilling the pulp on his lap. Seeing the frog, he glanced at Gil-galad, who smirked. He launched an attack, but Gil-galad rolled over and stripped off Elrond's robes and shirt. Elrond squirmed out and tackled him. Eventually, Elrond smeared the pulp from his robes onto Gil-galad's bare chest.

"Elrond, remove that slime from my chest!"

"Gladly." He flung Gil-galad into the spring, only to be pulled in himself and soundly kissed.
